Going Green

Going green is the subject of several Fisher Group initiatives. The company recycled nearly eight hundred tons of paper last year, saving 67,727 cubic feet of landfill space.

  • The plastic we recycled saved another 891 cubic feet
  • Our leftover ink is used to fuel a cement kiln
  • the Group’s filmless, digital printing plates do not require hazardous chemicals

The Fisher Group is part of a vital link in a "chain-of-custody" which ensures that forest products (for the printing industry, that means paper) can be traced from final manufactured product all the way back to well-managed forests where the raw materials were harvested.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) has granted the Fisher Group FSC Chain-of-Custody certification number SW-COC-003481.  The FSC is a not-for-profit organization that sets international standards for responsible forest management
